Today we saw the full play. And one of the reoccurring themes was the imperfection of the creation. Do you think there are religious connotations to when man creates life how disastrous it turns out? Maybe the writer was trying to say that only God can be suited for creating life.

  1. Most definetly! I think that the novel does have a religious theme. And personally... It is only God who can create life. And it is very disasterous when man tries to do something like that because even at Jerimiah 10:23 it shows that "man cannot direct his step." So I fully agree with your statement! Nice blog!!

  3. Huh... That's a really interesting observation! Yeah! I never thought about that before... He definately could've been hinting at how the bible says that when God created man, it was good. But that if man creates man it isn't good, and that God can control what happens! Thats a pretty genius observation. Props.

  4. I think Shelley would definitely be awestruck with what's going on today in our scientific community. In a way, scientists have found ways to actually create life through genetic engineering. Maybe FRANKENSTEIN should be required reading for all science majors!

  5. I agree. Only God should be able to create life... The fruit on the tree of knowledge was forbidden for a reason...

  7. I totally agree with you Gabe. Great observation. The bible does say as Nathan said that God created man and it was good. This is saying that only God has the power to make a good life and man cannot measure up to the amazing wonders God can do. I like this question, good job!

  10. great blog. I think that only God can create life and that there is lesson to be learned by someone else trying to make life and how it turned out bad. Gods creationd were good. Victors turned out bad.
